Two days of papers, workshops and school visits on teacher education and human development.

The Department of Early Childhood Education welcomed teachers, centre leaders and researchers to the Tai Po campus for a two-day symposium on play in the early years. Around 200 colleagues from kindergartens, childcare centres and universities across the region took part.

The Department hosted a half-day forum on school self-evaluation, bringing together principals, Education Bureau officers and researchers to ask a blunt question: does the current cycle of self-evaluation and external review actually improve teaching?

The Faculty of Education and Human Development welcomed delegates from across the region and further afield to a two-day symposium on teacher education, held at the Tai Po campus.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction and colleagues from across the Faculty held a joint forum on curriculum reform, bringing practitioners and researchers into the same room to compare notes on how reform is experienced on the ground.
